Comment:

AKA Sammy Takes A Trip. A Collection of Fuzzy, Twangy Garage, Freakbeat & Little known Pop Gems from the '60s. I tried to shy away from the 'Nuggets' series ( jus 2 tracks lifted from them ) as most fans of this particular genre probably own them already. A couple of points.. the artists on tracks 21 & 24 aren't mis-spellings! And featured are an all together different Minutemen..

It always amazes me what a broad genre this is. Whenever I see a psych mix or comp there are songs I've never heard. I think one could go on collecting forever. This looks really great. Thanks for the welcome.

Mission accomplished, consider my mind expanded! Great to see Monsieur Fowley amongst such esteemed company here.

Sammy, it appears that Fatherhood has not dimmed your mixing powers; oh no, rather it has spun the metaphorical top and broadened the metaphysical playground. Mr. Lombardi (he of the ubiquitous lower case -- not a criticism, merely an observation) mentions your "flawless track record" -- he knows whereof he speaks. This mix continues the sequence, and in a most agreeable fashion. As they say, Sammy: "who's the daddy?" - well, that'll be you then (grins).

Guess my mind's already there 'cause you've got some real faves of mine here in the Idle Race, Blossom Toes, Kim Fowley and just about everything from the My Mind Goes High comp.

29 tracks ! That is one of the reasons 'garage' is great. Only know 2 tracks here, so I'll have to go do some expanding of my own.

Trippy! I knew I was going to like any group called the Bleach Boys or Kool Kuzzins, but the real surprise here for me was that
truly weird track by the Race Marbles, mind-expanded free association or what?
Many thanks for the turned-on, tuned-in upload.

Oh man, to think that I very nearly missed this! Staying offline for a few days is a dangerous thing to do, apparently. This looks great (okay, let's be honest - I am in no position to judge its merits, but with your name next to it, it looks great by default), looking forward to giving it a listen.
