Beautiful theme- and you've got Gogol Bordello and Tom Waits in it, so I approve. May sound obvious, but how about "Standing Outside A Broken Tollbooth With Money In My Hands" to start a sequel?

how about caravan's "if i could do it all over again, i'd do it all over you"?
with x, tom waits, and leonard cohen anchoring your mix, you know it's going to be solid. good job!

Very well executed. Apologies in advance but I can't resist adding John Fahey's - 'Dance Of The Inhabitants Of The Palace Of King Phillip XIV Of Spain,' to the list for Vol.2

Reading the track titles Illinoise album, by S. Stevens, is like reading a short story.Having all said that, this mix is fantastic with or without the theme.

I tried to do this once, but it didn't work out nearly as well. Probably due to inclusion of rubbish like "Within the Mainframe, Impaired Vision from Inoperable Cataracts Can Become A New Impending Nepotism" by Man or Astro-man.

the X song is such a simple statement, i never thought of the title as all that long, but it looks fitting with all your other selections. Read like it sounds great, nice execution of the theme.

Very cool. I'll try to put in in trainspotter's paradise if it's working. And no Sufjan Stevens!

This elicits and vague (and vaguely embarrassing) memories of the evening at some point during my early teens when I looked through my entire CD collection and wrote down the longest titles, counting the letters and crowning the longest song title (can't remember what it was, but most of the top spots were taken by American Music Club and Tocotronic). Anyway, this looks better than most of the stuff I had in my collection at the time. Very neat!
