Plundermix
Comment:
This is a tribute mix to fellow blogger MoogPower. It's made with stuff I found on the web - and it's ONE FILE, no single tracks (follow the link @ Santa Dog-Fire!).Every track is a bit overlapping with the other, but all in all, it's one after the other. That's all, folks! ;)

Feedback:
Art work and music is loverly!
and the mix was intentionally not made to provide it here, but to satisfy myself, and post it on my border blog.
thanks for your feedback! i just found out about this site - and it IS a lovely place...

I am not familira with most of these, but I had to say that the cover art is outsatnding!
as this is called a 'plundermix', i also lifted the sleeve from the cover. see here: http://jazz.discogs.com/release/665824
thanks for the feedback, dead heaven!

just listened to your posting no. 2 and will be checking this out next. great stuff. welcome to the site.
tornadoZ - thanks for your detailed reply! for transitions (mainly on the first tracks) i added some 'tropical sounds' i found. bastien's track is free dl-able from his website, same with ostertag's (check out his website http://bobostertag.com for the complete catalogue!!). negativland's famous 'u2' is dl-able from the detritus.net. so much great music to use for free! ;)
interesting... I'm still doing all my music collecting in record stores like a silly fool. loved the Doo Rag and Chico Buarque tracks on this one.
tornadoZ - i'm still buying records/CDs, although just entirely 2nd-hand stuff. but since i'm lurking around in the blogosphere and webland, i KNOW that here i find more things i was looking in record-shops FOR YEARS - without finding them. --- if you visit a site like http://mutant-sounds.blogspot.com/ (if this kinda music is your cup o'tea, of course!) - you will admit, that it would be IMPOSSIBLE to find 10% of it in record stores - even when you fly across the whole planet... ;)
The Doo Rag is in fact from a Peel-show (as you can hear in John's announcement). And Buarque I found on one of the many fantastic brasilian mp3-blogs (see the links at the sidebar of my blog).

Interesting stuff and a very nice blog. You might be interested in my blog too, I don't know. I'm posting stuff from Francis Bebey's "Rire Africain" lp soon.
Orchid, I'm not familiar with the artists you present, but thanks for the hint! you're posting single tracks, right? You do it for direct download with size-bite - do you have to register to upload files? I can't find the homepage while googlin it...
