a girl in my dormitory asked me what kind of music i listened to, and upon failing a coherent summary of genres and styles, she asked for a mix CD. before she got this mix, she said she was going to make me one in return. now, she hardly even says hello.

She's probably just so impressed by your far superior tastes that she gets all embarrassed around you! That's how I'd react when presented with a mix like this, anyway.
Great mix! I think the recipient was intimidated by your obscure and eclectic taste in music. She probably only has CDs by Radiohead, Pink and Pearl Jam in her dorm room.
