Comment:
For the other half of me, who spent the weekend on the other side of the country visiting relatives and holding babies that weren't hers (hence the title of the mix, drawn directly out of an email she sent me yesterday). This is a collection of the songs I listened to while she wasn't around.A few new acquisitions here. I will just go on record right now and say that I dig the latest Feist album, especially this track. Same goes for ol' Rufus there.I've been a little RX Bandits crazy too, after getting their most recent album. Pretty great stuff for the kind of scene they are involved in. Oh, and similarly to Crane Wife, I can't believe I didn't have I Am a Bird Now until recently. Such a fantastic voice, Antony! Resurrected Horses again for the billionth time ever, too, as with "( )" and A River Aint Too Much To Love. It's got a very weird flow to it - it almost goes backwards? Other artists that didn't fit include Harry and the Potters, Matthew Herbert and Akron/Family.Length - 51:26Feedback:
Dunno, haven't quite jumped onto the Antony/Johnsons bandwagon, but it's a great fit next to Feist and I love Feist. Gotta love Patti Smith and Sigur Ros within three tracks.
