Pure Genius. Great Great title. Having listened to Side 1 with Side 2 still to come I can say this is one I'm gonna come back to again & again. Whadda terrific opener. Just brilliant. Loved the Fatback, Margie Day & Hot Blood tracks. And that's an alltogether different Wham!?! And is that Taja Sevelle tk classed as a 'Guilty Pleasure' even though it's a great song?
Anyway, can't wait for Side 2!

Terrific selections. I was only just moaning to Dom1 about his persistence with cassette tapes as a recording medium, and then up pops this sucker! These sweet melodies and groovy tunes deserve a better fate than being recorded onto such a tired, weary and, let's be honest -- archaic medium as bloody cassette tapes. I thank you for the downloadable links -- very nice. But I cannot leave without a plea to your good sense -- stop with cassettes, please -- it's over, move on.Well now, you are saying, who does he bloody well think he is, telling me what to do, etc. I am the voice of reason, I am defending the music you have chosen, as it cries out in despair - "Please, TornadoZ, don't make us go on that hideous cassette tape, give us a bloody chance to be heard as we were intended..You will, of course, do as you please. That is your right. Well, it may be your right, but cassettes are just wrong, as I said to Dom1, splendid fellow that he is, Dom, I shouted, CASSETTES ARE SHIT! Oh how we laughed, he he. We laughed and laughed until we stopped. And that's what I'm asking of you, TornadoZ - STOP with the cassettes already! All the best to you. Tom

I don't know what's ruffling Nomates' feathers, but Mixxxer is right, we haven't seen Marvin Sease since last July! And if I remember correctly (oh god it's all so fuzzy) he had his way with everyone that night, not just the ladies.

Checking in for sloppy 14ths on this most excellent and salacious mix. And, as Ms. Orchid intimates, Marvin Sease is definitely on the down-low. I have it on a reliable source...wink-wink...nudge-nudge. Good to see Nomates back on the boards too.

I had to check back in to let you know how much I appreciate the links as some of this appears to be available only on vinyl. And what was the dialogue from at the end of side one? It's hilarious. As for the rest, I don't care if you use an 8-Track format, as long as you include access to copies of those tracks no readily available on CD. My vote for MOTW.

Good grief, these are great - you've excelled yourself. Had me groovin along the whole way through. I also have to agree with 2old2m. - record on to cassette or wax cylinder or whatever's to hand: as long as there's a download too I'll be smiling.

can't tell if that was a compliment or a criticism, but i agree with you... my life IS a teen adventure novel; poorly written, but it is both endearing and exciting depending on your point of view.
on a different note, i loved listening to this.
5 stars.
