Comment:

This was supposed to be an explicitly Heroes mix, but I couldn't quite get it work. A story began to emerge, so it's more a general superhero-type narrative.

01-02. Intro. Apart from the hopefulness of we could be heroes, just for one day the song doesn't really fit, but it was the inspiration for this mix and I was dying to use it.03-05. Beginnings. The stirring of "we're different, aren't we?" and their world-saving aims.07-08. Solidarity, yo. Made much simpler in this mix than it's usually portrayed. No grey areas here.09-11. Protect and serve, and the beginnings of the descent into war and chaos.12-15 Try and try again/shit hits the fan.16-19 Failure.20. But! Hope. i will still be here, when the dust has cleared.Bonus: "great scott!" the news reporters exclaim as she saves another kitten from a night in the rain.

Again, some of the tracks are extraneous - "We're All In This Together" is probably a tad too peppy for this mix - I'm sure I'll learn from my mistakes sometime.

i dig that you made a mix around one song. the choices are nice, and all together this is a solid cd. i might be a little biased because you have some of my favorites, but, all in all, great stuff. i love the track by track breakdown too, it's pretty stellar to see your thought process.

Damn - I had a superhero party a few weeks ago. This would have been useful!
