Comment:
Another one of my homemade soundtracks, this one for the novel The Man Who Was Thursday by G.K. Chesterton. This book is many things: Surreal, ominous, philosophical, and even a bit cartoonish. It's a story about a London policeman who infiltrates a secret society of anarchists. Each member of the society takes a day of the week as their title, and six of the men are directed by a mysterious and fearsome seventh man known as Sunday. So, for a story that was written in early 1900's London, and takes place there as well, here is my rough approximation of what it might sound like, hampered by the constraints of modern popular music.A funny, deep, and nightmarish book. Give it a read - this otherwise odd conglomeration of songs might (I hope) show some cohesion. Title from a quote in the book, which was, in turn, borrowed from the Bible.Feedback:
this looks absolutely fantastic! my personal motw!
Superior work!! I only just recently got my copy of Lost In The Stars back... so I really love that Tom Waits song.
Nice Elliott Smith and Built to Spill songs.
Great concept, perfectly executed
