Comment:

I stumbled across someone's collection of Christian music from the '50s, '60s and '70s at a Goodwill Thrift Store in Selah, WA last weekend. At a dollar apiece and with covers like this, it hardly mattered if there were records inside. But of course there were records inside, so now there's a mix. Feel free to listen, but don't come crying to me if you get converted. listen to side
one.
listen to side
two.

Excellent recovery! THIS is the stuff (if not content, the difficulty in finding) that makes me totally addicted to this site!!!

Hey It's surprising how many of these songs a wretch like me knows. I will have to memorize the rest and with a bit of luck I might get past Pete at the gates after all. Great work Alex.

And I thought "Three Rusty Nails" b/w "Stompin' At The Crucifix" was by Pontius Pilatus & The Nasty Naildrivers. I have to shut off me computer; I hear lightning heading this way.

My god, this was one fucking weird mix. I almost converted! Can't say I enjoyed the whole thing but it was worth the experience. Some real gems, at least to me, in here: The Gospel Echos and Teen Harvesters Trio were standouts.

Alex, I am Gobsmacked. This mix is unbelievable. The first 3 tracks are fantastic. The Kroezes is not only pick of the bunch but the best record in the world right now. God will see me through, I'm a full convert to tonadoZism. Take 5 stars, oh, and don't forget, 'Jesus Loves You More If You Can Drive'....

Holy guacamole! Truly a unique mix. I don't think I could recreate it, even if you gave me a million dollars and eternal salvation (though I certainly would try!). Guess I'll have to take a pregnant pause and download it.
