Sounds of the Apocalypse #18 - Total Eclipse
Comment:
An ongoing soundtrack for the end of the world, consisting of paranoid, alienating, desolate, and unsettling noises, hums, echoes, and samples to make you rethink pressing that big red button. Broadcast live on WELH 88.1 FM in Providence, RI from 1A-2A on Saturday nights (early Sunday mornings); archive recordings are also available on their website (http://www.bsrlive.com), and you can also get it as a podcast from the iTunes store (run a search for sounds of the apocalypse). For more info about the show's theme and tracklisting, please visit http://soundsoftheapocalypse.blogspot.com (mp3 downloads via Upload.sc or zShare are available for 30 days from the date of the posting, and forever from Ourmedia). Interesting. But if you really want the sound of the apocalypse..check out Godflesh doing a ditty called "Pure II".
YES! NACHTMYSTIUM! I'm usually not much of a black metal fan beyond the genre's early influences- ie Celtic Frost, Venom etc- but I love them and this mix is looking excellent!
If you like Nachtmystium, check out Amesoeurs from France- post-rock meets lo-fi black metal.
