Comment:
Orginally made for cassette back in 97 or so, one of the first disk i ever mixed on cd so theres a learning curve for art work and sound quality. Not as odd of a mix as you might think. Mike Ness (Social Distortion) says his heroes have always been cowboys. Back in the 60's the Rolling Stones realized they were never going to make it in the psychedelic arena and started mixing honky tonk piano and RnB beats. Around that time they hung around an American named Gram Parson who would later discover Emmylou Harris. Take it with a grain of salt, i still call it country music and stand by every punk, rock, Canadian and British group on the mix.Full version added for download under first song.
Feedback:
i feel alright just looking at this mix.
This looks really cool. Social D looks right at home...
This one looks great, too.
indeed! Sweet tunes, comments and cover... you have again hit a triple!
Fantastic. Loads of favorites, not least the Lucinda and Uncle Tupelo.
Dwight Yoakam, Uncle Tupelo, Mono Men, 16 Horsepower and the opening Emmylou Harris track were my favorites. thanks for sharing this stuff.
