Skipper Bartletts Mushroom Soup
Comment:
While Skipper was in Rio, his neice, Lucy, was townhouse sitting for him. She often does this while Skipper travels to keep the place lived in, water the plants, feed the fish, deter cat burglars etc. She often leaves groceries behind for when her bachelor uncle returns home. This is what Skipper was thinking when he discovered a little plastic baggy of mushrooms on the kitchen counter. Skipper felt as though he was coming down with a cold and therefor decided that his homemade hot and sour soup with those very mushrooms would be just the thing to put him right. Skipper cooked and ate with gusto and retired to the living room to relax in front of the stereo when something very strange happened...the ceremonial Zulu mask on the wall told him that there was a little orange gnome, whose name happened to be Ivan, living in the Japanese maple and peeing in the pool. Skipper immediatly donned his pith helmet, grabbed his butterfly net and set about gnome hunting...Skipper woke in the morning, in the rooftop garden, when the sprinklers came on, rather wet, but his nagging cough and sore throat had cleared right up.
Feedback:
Looks delicious Skip, may I be so bold as to request a zip file of this treasure? Only then will I be at peace...
Same here, kind sir, I think we can all agree that we've been fading. We all could use a simple remedy.
trust nieces to take care of uncles.
I would love to put this is in a zip file for you all .You could all do me a big favour by telling me exactly how to do that as I've been trying to do the same thing for my blog, http://likedreamsville.blogspot.com. I'm stuck on a learning curve from my ancient pc to my new mac and could use some help.
Absolutely brilliant.Gather the MP3s that you want to ZIP up in a folder. Right click on said folder (or hold down the Control key and click if you're using a one button mouse) and select the "Create Archive of 'Folder Name'" option from the resulting menu. You should now have a ZIP archive containing this splendid mix.
That's one boss soundtrack for an at home adventure.
Splendiferous.
So awesome. SOO FUN!!!
I love this series . . . . soooooo cool and I know amost fuck all . . . . . your notes and covers are amazing . . . . . Curtis thanks for the first lesson in sharing, but if Skipper is anything like me it won't help . . . .
Tasty soup!
Great lookin' mix! as Dom1 would say.

My kinda soup, my kinda mix too!
colorful!
I do hope Curtis' advice is helpful. I can't wait for these mixes to be linked up. Bloody brilliant this is. Nice story as well. And the cover? Well...
Fabulous souped-up mix Skipper! A bit more psychedelic than past offerings. Lovely cover too! What kind of mushrooms are those Campbell kids putting in their soup?
Thanks to Curtis, I've figured out the zip file thing, only problem is - this mix ends up being 105 mb or something and most file hosting sites only allow 100mb. Sendspace allows 300 mb but they were giving me a bunch of grief about using Safari instead of Firefox so - so much for that. I even tried the AotM upload but after 2 hours it was apparent that it wasn't working. AARRGGHH, to say the least.
Well, I'm happy you tried! This really does look fantastic, Mr. Bartlett.
Skipper, I'd sure like to take that mushroom soup cure . . . maybe I could trade you something the old-fashioned way, for a taste of the recipe?
================
Alice remained looking thoughtfully at the mushroom for a minute, trying to make out which were the two sides of it; and as it was perfectly round, she found this a very difficult question. However, at last she stretched her arms round it as far as they would go, and broke off a bit of the edge with each hand.
`And now which is which?' she said to herself.
