Ah, the poetry. Really does make you feel like drinking whiskey, or so I'd hope. I'm extreeeeemely happy with this one. Everything retains a rather melancholy quality despite being relatively upbeat.... and wow, that doesn't make any sense unless you've heard the songs.
Feedback:
Probably my fave off the new Bright Eyes. I know what you mean about the tone - songs might be more or less up-tempo musically but convey wistful/melancholy ideas in the lyrics and usually an underlying sound that belies their winsome surfaces. I love that kind of music
