Comment:
Full Title - Ooh La La! ( French Pop Through The Years )Says it all really doen't it? This started as a French Pop from the 60s mix, which although good ended up a bit samey. So I removed the filler, kept the very best of the 60s pop, added some newer faves, the lovely Ms Paradis.... et voila!
Thanks to Orchid via blasi for tk 16. Thanks Lucie also for Polnareff's wonderful La Michetonneuse. Amuser s'aller fou!
Pt1 Pt2

Feedback:
Franc-tastic work Sam. I'm a huge fan of these sounds. Encore.
Have "merci" on us!
Ooh, can't wait to give this a listen. Love the Stereoab, Bardot, Hardy, Keren Ann and Camille picks especially. Beaucoup cool.
This looks great. Previously the only french "Pop" I knew was the French Connection. Poor Helen....
TrFs chouette, mon ami. I love Joe Le Taxi.
I actually know a bit more on this than I would have thought. Will definitely have to give this one a listen, good sir.
i've always loved what i've heard of 60's french pop, but never took the time to dive in to the extent i'd have liked to - this looks to resolve that dilemma, so thanks for that. i do, however, love the frantoise hardy & brigitte bardot tracks - looks great as always, sammy, will be downloading imminently.
This looks fantastic, Sam. I can't wait to dig in.
C'est le pied!
This is all good and well done, however, you can't have a "proper" french pop mix without Serge Gainsbourg!
Did lanhamyodel just say, It's the foot...? I don't get it...but this mix looks really great. What did you think of the latest Air album , by the way?
Tre magnifique!
Ce mTlange est fantastique, mon ami.
Looks wonderful. I'm consistantly amazed at how much great pop this country produces. As soon as I get your funk mixes download, this one is next.
Skipper, I'm hoping Claude said This is the Best, yes I'm sure he did! And I love Airs latest..
Ginatron, I fully agree with you, hence Mr Gainsbourg's inclusion on tk11. Tk 12 is also a Serge composition....

this is really all over the place but I really love some of this
Mais bien svr, mes amis! "C'est le pied" means "C'est trFs bien."
What, no Claudine Longet? ;-)
I'll have to give this a listen. Thanks for the link.

Parfait mon ami. You've managed to compile a decent mix from French sounds which is more than I'd ever have attempted!
This looks wonderful Sam. Next in this week's tasty sendspace queue (no wonder Americans don't use that word. Look at all them vowels!)
My sister and her partner just left for Paris this morning! This looks really awesome. :)

Give him the ooh-la-la. I'm going to take that advice and keep a copy of this one with me in the car. my favorites were at 2, 7, 11 & 26. very nice, Sam.

les bruits sont magnifiques. c'est un mTlange fantastique.
This mix was total immersion. Sammy, before this collection the only french I knew was: "le poulet monte la bicyclette... ce soir"But seriously, this collection helped me put artists and titles to sounds I have heard for years. Thanks! Merci.
