Comment:

At the ripe old age of twenty, I'm just now beginning to get a grasp of what the rest of my life has in store for me.

And you better believe I'm scared out of my wits about it.

So, I made a mix of songs about the new "adult" worries that I have, like bills, love, my relationships with my friends and family, hating my job, etc. There's also songs that reference my fear of becoming a boring, domesticated woman. That's something I'm really struggling with; holding on to my identity, while shedding the parts of it that won't translate well in "adulthood".

Basically, I'm trying to embrace the fact that I have the world at my finger tips but I'm also dreading it.

When you figure it all out let me know. Or on the other hand, just enjoy the journey!Particularly like the 7-11 stretch.

All really well chosen songs, man. They're all great, and even though that Dylan track is a little cliche, its a winner too. Nice job.

wow. lots to love here. "my shadow tags on behind" owns my heart. you should include "eric's trip" on the mix.

When I was making the mix, I almost didn't add the Dylan track because of how cliche it is. I added it to be like the old wise man who tells you like it is.

And "Eric's Trip" almost made it, and I might make another version and add it, but at that time I didn't think that it went all that well with the concept.

Great sentiment, great mix. Being double your age, I'm still struggling with these things, as is everyone I know. Kudos to you on the Of Montreal track, which sums it up nicely. For future listening, consider Pete Townshend's "Slit Skirts" (which tackles the subject head-on).
