Comment:
Ah yes. The "hidden bonus track" Ya know when ya leave a fave CD on while studying and you get so engrossed you dont realize the Album is over until 15 minutes later an extra unfamiliar song plays, a blast of nonsensical vomit inducing sound blasts forth or a snatch of half whispered dialogue is heard? Yeah thats what this Mix is all about. LOL although its also no fun when you buy a CD and the sticker on the front proclaims "includes hidden bonus track such and such!!!!" Enjoy!Feedback:
the idea of a hidden bonus track by a band that i really enjoy makes me happy... and after reading your comment i started thinking and came to the conclusion that bands don't do that enough.. :/ one of my favorites ever would have to be "poor song" by the yeah yeah yeahs. :) this looks really good.. great concept!
Looks like a fun effort. I think the Nirvana track is actually called "verse chorus verse," but that's nitpicking. Some others to have considered: "Dancehall" by Blur (from Blur), Stone Roses' "The Foz" (from Second Coming), Nirvana's "Endless Nameless" (from Nevermind)and (depending on which version you bought) Nine Inch Nails' broken features "(you're too) Physical" and "Suck". Also, Cracker's Kerosene Hat has a second hidden track... I know there are several others as well, so I'll just stop rambling and just enjoy this mix.
Grand idea: my faves would be track 99 on AntiChrist Superstar and the Hidden Track on "Weird" Al Yankovic's disc...
Great concept. You nabbed the two that immediately jumped to my mind (Wilco & the Clash), though I'm sure more will come to me. I guess I can't complain when there's a great, extra track at the end... but I have to admit it drives me crazy when they play little tricks like having a 20 minute track, with 16 minutes of silence followed by the actual song (or 20 30-second silent tracks before the bonus) -- pain in the ass.
love the idea - personally, I like the suicide machines' cover of "i don't wanna hear it" by minor threat - it's on the "destruction by definition" cd
i definitely thought of doing this one time, but never got around to it! looks like you did well...
