Comment:

The S.C.O.T.S. track is a cover of the Kinks.
The Ponys track appears courtesy of

French Connection via deja_vu_all_over_again.

Links to a couple of ladies who are not in the mix:
Ken Harris posted a
single artist mix
on legendary session bassist Carol Kaye.
And if you click on

tornadoZ's comment on Luke79's mix
you might catch a glimpse of SP bassist D'Arcy Wretzky.

73m44s. Filing as "Rock/Pop." The exact ratio of rock to pop is 21 to 0.
Make sure to crank up the bass.

i've thought time & time again about doing something like this, as i've always thought it was kind of strange how many bands have female bassists. lots of great catches here, esp. love the MBV, talking heads & pixies cuts...

Great mix, but I am duty bound to point out an oversight - no White Zombie?(Sean Ysuelt).

Bastard! I've been planning one of these for months (though I was going to open it up to the entire rhythm section to capture bands with women behind the skins). Superchunk is the one addition that comes tom mind immediately.

Bassically great. How low can you go Ed? I love it all, and I'm the guy who normally likes that ratio inverted. Thumb thumb thumb.
