Comment:

60 minutes; and an excerpt from my journal today.

"lately - and by lately i mean the past couple weeks - i've been feeling real lonely. i guess it's been there for awhile but i was always too busy to notice it. the way i see it, there are two kinds of loneliness. sometimes it can take on the form of a deep and dark neverending despair. at others, it is the most perfect, beautiful envelope of space and time. i think what i've been feeling has been a little bit of both, but mostly the good kind.

they say that no man is an island, perhaps in some effort to make people feel a part of something, but i think that people sometimes don't realize that loneliness is a fact of life. at some point, you are going to be disconnected from everyone around you, and it's not always a bad thing. you learn a lot of things, i think, when it's just you to yourself. and when you come back from it, you value the important people in your life, the s and the j types, all the more."
