nice job with the classic emo. i love the mineral, jealous sound, knapsack & pretty much the whole thing, however, I'm not sure that I would consider deftones in the emo genre. I think that in place of that track I would have used Sunny Day Real Estate or Get Up Kids.

you are absolutely correct and i completely agree, which is why i made mention that there are some "stylistically similar" bands. i definitely would never dream of classiying deftones as emo, but it does have the dark, heavy distorted guitars, which is why i thought it fit in okay. additionally it is my favourite deftones track and it felt right, especially with consideration for the person i was making the mix for.

i listened to that mix yesterday and it's awesome! lots of bands i never heard a song from before (thanks for introducing me to those) and of course that deftones track is good beyond compare.
