what a nice summertime treat

This looks pretty cool. I love the Scott Walker, Sam Cooke, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and Wanda Jackson tracks, and am somewhat partial to the Wilco, B & S, Loretta Lynn, and Beach Boys tracks. I have to admit, though, that Don Henley is one of my most mortal musical enemies...

I think Rob and I may be soulmates, because I feel the exact same way about Henley. He wrote a wistful summer song that's really famous, so I should like him, and he's half-respected in a big way, but man, I hate him. Luckily the rest of us is pretty smashing, even though I can't imagine how jarring the Darkness - AGSFB transition must be. Crazy!

As I emailed Rob, I hate the Eagles and all Don Henley, except that song and possibly his duet with Stevie Nicks.

That particular AGSFB song is pretty fast and rock-y, so I think it works there. Plus, I've been trying to put it on a mix for months, so I made it fit, dammit.

Looks like a nice one. Really awesome Wilco choice.
