Comment:
i pride myself on my transitions [modest, too!]. the transition from the 'bat country' bit to that 'white rabbit' cover... gives me chills just thinking about it. the clip is del toro offering depp his half of the sunshine acid. "thirty minutes. it was going to be very close." then BOOM! white rabbit. bet you didn't even see it coming! made this for a friend's birthday, when it seemed that all we had in common were our addictions. by the way, if anyone's into trading mixes [i promise that not all of my music sucks], i'd love to do it. i like getting mail, plus cassettes are bombside one:track one: Duke: We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into locked a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.side two:track one: Duke: Wait! We can't stop here! This is bat country! Gonzo: Here's your half of the sunshine acid. Duke: How long do I have? Gonzo: As your attorney, I advise you to drive at top speed, or it'll be a goddamn miracle if we get there before you turn into a wild animal.Duke: Thirty minutes. It was going to be very close.track four: Duke: 1965. The great San Francisco acid wave. I recall one night in a place called The Matrix. There I was, a natural street freak, just eating whatever came by. I decided to eat only half of the acid at first, but I spilled the rest on the sleeve of my red woolen shirt..
Feedback:
although i don't know much of this, it made me think that some people think side symmetry is what it's all about, but i really think transitions are what make the mix.
