The 2007 El Gallito Mexican Restaurant Legends of the Ancient Americas Calendar Mixtape Series. November. [uh, "pu±al" in this case means "dagger." I just learned that there are several more colorful slang translations.] listen to sideone.
listen to side
two.

I'm digging Yma Sumac's kitchy version of El Condor Pasa. This is great fun!
This is a great series. Where is El Gallito? I'm craving Mexican and all I've got is a Mexicali Rosas.
Listening to this right now. Track 2 was very unexpected. Roccck! The Nicky Jam track is fantastic. Loved SSW and Yacumenza. But Woovy Groovy and Dun Dun are my tops from Side 1. Will report back with a Side 2 report soon....
íMuy caliente, amigo!
+Ya estß noviembre? El tiempo pasa rßpido.
I am always up for some good forro.

I am always up for some good forro.
always amazed at how deep you go into this stuff & how little i know!
Hehe. Colorful slang translations. You're right.
íwhat amazing sounds and well placed!
I think I only know the Laswell and Sumac tracks, but will rectify that...
Awesome!!!And, a tad eerie, I have a similar mix in the works and have also utilized that Yma Sumac Tune (albeit blended with another song). Seeing gracing one of your mixes, tells me I'm on the right track.
Again, another wonderful and interesting listen. Real fine mix, Alex. El Super Mariachi Los Camperos is a favourite from this.
Me gusta! Where are you finding this stuff? Tijuana thrift stores? Got your e-mail. Will e-mail you an mp3 this weekend.
I'll spare a 'Spanish' comment. Looks cool!
Super mariachi! bueno!
(I'm sending you a token of appreciation for this super-fine series - look for it in the mail SOON.)

Not only is the music great, this entire mixtape series is providing me with remedial education on the subject of the Ancient Americas. (I missed two weeks of 9th grade getting my wisdom teeth out). I'm ever-so pleased to learn the ancients used daggers and listened to Soda Stereo.
Loving this series - is the Ancient better than the Modern Americas? - discuss.
