Comment:

The other 2 mixes I made for my impending nuptials (Friday!). Mostly oldies at first (on the first disc), then more '80s gold and a few who-cares-what-anyone-thinks-this-is-our-wedding songs that, if I were even slightly more extroverted, I would love to belt out at the top of my lungs while swinging from the rafters.

I love my (soon-to-be) wife more than anything. She is my beacon of light in this world, my inspiring angel, my darling sugarplum. Although we've been together nearly four years already, I still can't get enough of her. If only I could try harder to accomplish my own dreams (of being a writer, or something creative in the film or music businesses), my life would be so very close to self-actualization, because it's already perfectly fulfilled on the companionship front. My panic over death is no longer about how it will end everything, but rather more specifically that it will take me away from her forever. So until then, I aim to treasure her as deeply as I can, and provide her whatever pleasures her heart seeks. She has already given me so much, and made my life happier each day since we met, that I don't know if I can ever adequately return the favor, but I will try.

Sorry, but listening to these mixes right now is putting me in a dangerously poignant mood.

fantastic and cute! i have a wedding mix of my own, lurking in the archives of my aotm. congrats! the day will fly by and moments tend to blur together... just remember after the ceremony and before the reception, be sure to take a moment for just the two of you, to soak in the significance of what happened and how much you love one another. and remember, no matter what goes wrong (and a lot of things did at my own wedding), the important thing is the meaning of the day and who you were there with.

Traditional Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you

May the wind be always at your back

The sun shine warm upon your face

The rains fall soft upon your fields

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
