Made for a recent mix swap wherein my objective was to provide a soundtrack for "the film inside my head." So this is part one of two, in my feeble attempt at an interpretation of my current state of mind. As my twenties (and a good portion of my thirties) are quickly leaving me behind, I find myself the owner of a minivan and soon-to-be father of twins and, admittedly, thinking sometimes about the ways I squandered my youth. So herein lies numerous songs dealing with the prospects of growing older and becoming irrelevant and uncool, interspersed with some other random stuff I've been digging lately, to create a soundtrack to my summer and one side of my current mental dialogue.But, I have to admit, those wistful thoughts of becoming irrelevant are fleeting. Fatherhood is, without a doubt, the greatest thing in the world. I spend much more time being endlessly thrilled by the prospect of welcoming two new baby girls into the world. But we'll cover that in part two.
