Comment:

Paid extra attention to the mix's flow. Turned out well. A little heavier on the older stuff, but I'm not a huge fan of "Trompe" and "Bossanova." Some may object to the "Manta Rays," but I love them both.

A few years ago a friend of mine gave me an "introduction to the pixies" mix, and I'm pretty sure that most of these songs were on it. If it got me, a kid who was listening to hardcore and other "heavy" or "dark" music, into the Pixies then I think it'll do the same for just about anyone else.

I love No. 13 Baby and glad to see Velouria on there too. Nice job!

The band that should have had all the plaudits Nirvana received.I think the first three LP's are essential with Pilgrim being my favourite.I go with you on Trompe and Bossanova, you could feel them losing their way by then.Great to see Winterlong and I'd also include Into The White.

I do love the Pixies. I think a harder but likewise interesting mix would be to pick through the mess that is Frank Black's solo career and pick out the gems amongst the forgettable songs.

Call me too mainstream but I always trumpet Bossanova, maybe since it was the first Pixies disc I got into. It may not be their best but it's still consistently excellent, I think, with some of their very best on it. But other than those omissions, this looks pretty properly done.

The Pixies are probably my all time favorite band considering I can pretty much listen to ever single album of theirs without touching the skip button. The only ommission for me would be "Cactus." To this the ultimate lond-distance-relationship song that gets me know mwtter how many times I hear it. Otherwise fantastic
