Feedback:
hOOray!
Scott Walker doing Maria Bethania!!?? Yipes, I bet thats pretty cool.
Cool.
Loverly. Great opening salvo, liking the Nash and the Walker/J&Y/YLT stretch also.
I always liked that Wimple Winch song (not that I know much else by them), really unusual voice and great into Scott from there . . .
To go beyond saying I am highly intrigued would be a bold-faced lie. I no painfully little, here. But, as with all of your previous endeavors, I seek to find out more. Discog.com, AllMusic, Google...here I come.
Lucie, don't take an imaginary lover when I'm right here, desperate to be inside...your record collection!!! This looks terrific!
I love the YLT version of Be Thankful.. And the Scott Walker & Pentangle choices. Lots here I don't know but I'm sure it's magical. Now, where's the blue linky thingy?
mind-bending stuff here, from what i know anyhow - love that opener especially
Jesus. This looks priceless. Downloading immediately...
... or not. Where's the link? :-(
Dollar, you do mean the sick-inducing duo who destroyed I Want To Hold Your Hand? On the same mix as Yo La Tengo. I admire your chutzpah.
Thanks for the comments! You can listen to the mix here.
An Orchid mix? Priceless. Lots of very cool stuff, like that 70s hit by Starbuck (but where's "Imaginary Lover" by the Atlanta Rhythm Section?) Never lose that chutzpah.
Ha! Moe's dead on, as per usual. Bravo you Fleur du Mal....
wow, this mix is called Number Sixteen, and you have exactly 16 comments. sadly, I'm gonna have to ruin that to tell you just how much I really liked your mix: I really, really liked it. the "Ring of Fire" cover made me feel all tingly, then the Yves Duteil/Nancy Holloway pairing brought me this close to orgasm. Wimple Winch's Lollipop Minds made me feel like I was meeting God for the first time and then Tats Yamashita made me feel like God and I were riding together on a ferris wheel! I also liked the Karen Beth song at the end because she sounds like one of the Muppets. great work, Lucie. I'm going to assume that you made this mix for me. thank you.
I'm rather shocked that I liked every single track here. Please don't tell my friends.
