Another Take on Tunes from the 2nd Half of '75
Comment:
Well, guess what? I had plenty of leftovers from my last exploration of songs from the 2nd half of '75. So it looks like my brother gets a 2 CD set for a belated Birthday gift. Some songs that didn't make the final cut: Boomer Castleman's Judy Mae, David Geddes' Run Joey Run, The Carpenters' Solitaire, Jessi Colter's I'm Not Lisa, The Dramatics' Me and Mrs. Jones, War's Why Can't We Be Friends. Roger Whitaker's The Last Farewell, and Sammy John's Chevy Van. As usual, the songs can be downloaded as a zip file by clicking on the first song title. Oh, one last thing I wanted to point out, this isn't exactly a B side to the first part, since there is a higher hit average on this part (average chart rating is 13.5 for this version whereas the first version averaged a chart rating of 21.6).Feedback:
Now this is clearly when the US and European charts were a world apart - amazing for hits, how few I know. Didn't realise that Kraftwerk were around in 75 either . . .
Now I remember what I didn't like about the '70s.
Some great stuff and some scary stuff on here. I had a friend who had a wedding band in Vermont and he had a sign on his keyboard "Requests - $5, Feelings - $100". He said he made thousands off that song.
Average Chart rating ona mix. Now you're talking my language.. I wonder if Curtis Burns does the same for his mixes?
Another fine one, especially the opener, 4-5 and I'll happily admit tk11 also..

Have to say I'm with Terry here!
At least two of you will be relieved to know that I didn't include this CD with the 1st CD mix of this period when I sent two CDs to my youngest brother for his belated birthday gift. I went with plan 'A' and sent my Moody Blues mix as my 2nd CD to him.
actually, I think this mix is grand. reminded me of when I first started listening to radio in Yakima, WA in the early '80s; they played lots of this '70s stuff, they probably still do. The Ritchie Family to Van McCoy spot is really terrific to these ears.
