Comment:
For the hell of it. Title by James Mercer.Feedback:
By coincidence I just heard on the radio some history about Minnie Riperton: she died at age 31 not long after her records were released. Nice work here. Looks like you have searched far and wide on this one Rob.
Another winner here, my friend. Shit, this looks good. Love the Pixies, Pissed Jeans, and Monkees tracks and that Temptations->Shins run is fucking top-notch. Good stuff.
these "for-the-hell-of-its" just keep getting better & better - love the shins, lemonheads, temptations, monkees, & pixies tracks especially
What Anthony says
Another hot one. Love the Martyn, Monkees, Temps, Steely Dan and Shins picks.
John Martyn, The Monkees, The Temptations, Lemonheads and The Shins do it for me.
I likes what I knows...
How awesome that you included up-and-comer Ben Prisbylla as the closing track, that dude is amazing! Glad you like Caribou! The rest looks truly great, as well!!!
I like what I know (most of it) and trust your most excellent taste on the rest. Cool.
is one of my all time (or all tyme) top 100's! Thanks.
Another worthy installment!
A scorcher Rob. And I'm with you on that Caribou release, magic.
This was a great listen, Rob. The 3 to 7 and 10 to 12 stretches are nice.
Excellent FTHOI mix. One of my favorite Steely Dan songs, a cool cover by A Certain Ration and an ace tune from the Lemonheads. And Deep Purple strikes again!
Hell yeah! Looks great.
Forgot I dug that Deep Purple song and Pissed Jeans are a new fave. Thanks!
Like the look of this a lot. Must check out Pissed Jeans but what a truly awful name!
I so thought I'd commented on this already, strange. Oh well, better late than never. I'm also a fan of the hilariously named 'Pissed Jeans' along with the Caribou. But along with the Shins my big faves from this are the Lemonheads, Ripperton and the wonderful 'Temptations' choices...
