R.E.M. added at the last minute because as overused as it may be, it will never be more aptly placed than on a mix conveying the poignancy of summer nights...or at least trying to. Actually I think the song styles and subject matter are too diverse here for the mix to come together the way I'd hoped, but I still loved the songs themselves so I'm fine with it. There should be a Mix Category choice called Pensive. I make a lot of mixes like that - not necessarily depressed but contemplative, and ambient doesn't cut it either. Oh well.Feedback:
Love the R.E.M. pick, as well as the Andrew Birds and Iron & Wine. Fine job, Sir Eternity.
Dig this one the most out of the three. Good work--good artist picks, but I still gotta check out the songs you have listed here...
My fave of the trio. Belafonte cuddling up with the New Pornos being a highlight, though 14-20 just flows like a river of gold.
