Comment:
The 2007 El Gallito Mexican Restaurant Legends of the Ancient Americas Calendar Mixtape Series continues. February. here's a varied mix of styles from different eras. since I won't sell my soul to the devil just so you can view my cover art, let me tell you: it's an artist's drawing of an eagle holding a serpent in its talon, while perched on top of a prickly pear cactus; it's the image from Mexico's national coat of arms, which is featured in the center of the Mexican flag. listen to sideone.
listen to side
two.

Feedback:
That's my Friday night sorted then, might even break out the Jose Cuervo! Looks totally brilliant.
I think I know absolutely nothing here, but that just means I can look forward to even more great new discoveries than usual.
I'm looking forward to hearing this. I can't comment on much of anything prior to that, though, other than to say that I trust your judgment...
Trfo Calaveras have always been my favorite of the great Trfos. Barry, I hope you're drinking Tradicional, because not much else of Joe Crow vale la pena...
íAy madre! Is it those those vaqueros singing norte±a?
Y'know, I never noticed that prickly pear cactus in the flag, but there it is:
Y'know, I never noticed that prickly pear cactus in the flag, but there it is:
The coat of arms comes from the Aztecs who had a vision to found their capital city Tenochtitlan (Mexico City) where they would see an eagle perched on a nopal with a serpent in its mouth. The main island was a gift from a local king who was hoping that the Atecs would get disheartened (or preferably bitten) by the tremendous amount of rattlesnakes on the islands. But no, the Aztecs were some of the biggest hijos de la chingada (baddest asses) to walk the face of the earth and they ate the rattlesnakes. The king then had to honor them by sending one of his daughters to marry an Aztec prince. When he was invited to the wedding feast, he asked for his daughter and an Aztec priest came dancing by in the skin of his freshly flayed progeny and realized that he had been dining on her flesh. That's the story all Mexicans memorize from the time they are 6 or 7. íViva MTxico, cabrones!
This whole series is fan-freakin'-tastic. I love it. I hope someone will fix this cover art issue sometime soon.
thrilling
Me gusta mucha. (That's about as much as I can say in my Beginner's Spanish.)
Please bring another blended, Sr.! This is fantastic. Now have you had any of these played at the restaurant? Do they have the whole collection of mixes there? Well, let me tell you, if it were my restaurant, I'd get this playing pronto, el gßngster del amor.
This would have been ideal for my dining at the Barrio Cafe in Phoenix, AZ. Ahh, memories rekindled via fine tunes.
I share Sammy's sentiments as well! Top notch all the way through both sides of your mix.
A lovely exposition on the eagle and the serpent. I'm for the serpent...
