Comment:

All but two songs (tracks 12 & 13) from 1925.This may be as far back as I go in my time machine. But who knows, if anybody can make a mix of songs even further back than this I may reconsider. Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra dominates the mix a bit but then he was dominating the charts for most of the 20s. I also included all three of Eddie Cantor's charted hits for that year.This mix turned out to be 67 minutes and 5 seconds long. Hope you like it!

Retro - Very ambitious! 1925 was pretty far along into the age of recorded music. You can find a lot of even older stuff online at the Cylinder Preservation and Digitization Project. So, time to reconsider!

This makes 1925 come alive!

I'm not sure I'd go back to the 20's if I could, but no denying that it was an exciting time when lots of folks felt possibilities unfolding & musical horizons were expanding exponentially. I think you've captured that feeling . . .
