Comment:
The emphasis is obviously on David Gray and the title comes from New Horizons. The CD begins with optimism and hope (shine), hits some more poignant tunes (miss misery, running to stand still), then builds back up to a lighter, hopeful, and reassuring crescendo(being around, by your side, new horizons). I guess it represents the inevitable ups and downs of life.I made the CD for one of my best friends who has been through some tough times lately, but I haven't given it to her yet. These songs and artists have been my personal cure and release, so I hope they provide some encouragement to her.
"And your heart ain't yours to control, no matter how tight the reign. Love will find its own direction." -- David Gray, New Horizons
Feedback:
this is a great mix.. i'm making a mix right now that has a lot of david gray, mostly from the Lost Songs cd, and it also has counting crows and the same dave matthews song. :)
