Comment:

Yes, today I celebrate 2 years aboard the Good Ship Art Of The Mix. And so as a special treat for you all ( and myself ), I present a Double Disc Extravaganza, featuring favourite tracks from some of my many mixes.
Thanks to everyone who made me feel welcome enough to stick around. Props to P the Swede for being the first person to comment on a mix of mine, ha and of course to Moe whose comment let 321 pop fall off the boards with a proud 2 comments ( I've been his biggest fan ever since! ). A roll of honour can be heard on the first track of the mix, coutesy of Mr Robo-Man! Enjoy this, and Cheers :)

Impressive, including lots of goodies. And, man, Fox's "S-S-Single Bed" is one of all-time my favorite singles. No shit.

Proof (not that it were needed)of just how invaluable you are to this website. You've enriched and enlightened Sam and I for one hope you continue to do so long into your dotage. Oh and boy do I love Grumpus.

I will enjoy these sounds...again this weekend. I did not come here empty-handed, either. Try this...

I'm with Barry's first two sentences. A fine addition to a great body of work. Y'know, I've been here almost seven years and have never commemorated such a thing in any way... I need to get around to that...

I look forward to each and every new sammyg123 mix, and this one's certainly no exception. "S-S-S-Single Bed" is one of my sammyg favorites too, and of course "If You Gotta Pick A Baby" from the same mix, which pretty much changed my life. looking forward to the mixes of year 3... Happy Anniversary!

I'm there with t-
Z. You've opened me up to a whole new way of looking at 'pop'. It's been great fun going along on the ride on these with you! And guess that's year two for me too!

And what an amazing two years it's been! A best of mix by this site's MVP has got to be a gem, as each individual mix you've posted is a diamond. Can't wait to see what the 10th anniversary extravaganza looks like. I agree with Thomas on Single Bed. Sounds like a lost Macy Gray track. But no love for the second person to comment on your very first mix? I composed a 19-word eloquent piece of prose that flowed like fine wine, and all Peter had to say was "diggin'."

Happy AOTM anniversary, Sam! I'm glad to have been around for most of the second half of your time here, and I have yet to come across a mix from you that wasn't absolutely great. Perhaps it's going to happen at some point (although I'll be very, very surprised if it does), but this certainly isn't it.

speaking of deja_vu_all_over_again... loved these tunes just as much the second time 'round, Sam. tracks that struck me on this listen were Klaus Wushtoff, Hicole Willis & the Soul Investigators (I'm a sucker for hand-claps), The Oranges and Joy Zipper from side one, and Cornershop, Fox (of course), Simian, Arielle Dombasie and Los Campesinos! from side two. a terrific collection - and as a former member of the Sheena Easton International Fan Club, I should know. or maybe it was a lifetime membership, I dunno.
