Comment:

Yeah man, a saturday afternoon in july. The sun's beating down, you and your friends have had a long night before hand so you all woke up at around noon anyways. Breakfast is a beer and marshmellow Fluff. Everybody is earing dark sunglasses to sheild our eyes from the fierce sun, and as we regain our balance we all wander over to the back yard and start playing hacky-sack without shirts, letting our backs soak in the sun. Just then one of you rfriends comes out of the houes very excited because he has just found an extra joint, and there's more on the living room table. Your parents won't be home for another day or two, so you light it up and pass it around as you hack. This mix is for that day. I hope everyone is as lucky as I am to experience a day like that.

Your Dave Matthews Song is called
Say Goodbye and the Gin and Juice is actually a band called The Gourds. Just thought you might like to know.

Yeah Gin & Juice is also creditted to a band called Ween, but I put it as Phish for convienience's sake only. As most people know it as Phish I figured that creditting Phish was the easiest way to describe the song. As for Say Goodby, good point, I'm just a lazy bastard and I didn't put enough effort into finding the proper title.

Ugh...putting DMB in the same mix as phish and string cheese...

Phish played with String Cheese in 1999 in San Diego, so you know they're down with playing together, then, as the mix shows, DMB & Phish do it up all the time. I don't know about you Tony, but when Dave says he can play with another band, what Dave says, goes. If Dave can play with Phish, then my CD will have Dave and Phish.

Leah, I wrote this mix a long time ago, and looking back on it I can't believe I put all these songs on there. Anthony, you're quite right. DMB, Phish, String Cheese... It's a shit show. No self respecting music lover listens to this shit anymore. But hey, I was young, it was summer, we may have been drinking heavily. Things happen. Anyways, I have (unfortunately) discovered the litany of self-indulgent shit which some call the Phish catalogue and let me say, it makes me want to delete this mix altogether. If only I had the brains and the elbow grease to go through with it. Either way, I do thank you for the comment nonetheless.
