Comment:
Made for my dear friend Dion for his 21st birthday. He has a love of classic rock (unfortunate, if you ask me) and is moving to Portland soon. I chose the songs to introduce him to new bands that he might like, and also to give him some good music from the Pacific Northwest. Also, fans of The Blow must do themselves the favor of finding the original A Capella version of Come on Petunia. It is delightful.
and here's the cover art!

Feedback:
There are some good things here. However, why hate on classic rock?
certainly, I don't hate classic rock. It's only the fanatical love some people have for it (a la School of Rock) that concerns me.
Great concept, well-executed
these songs are great songs i just bought the peter bjorn and john cd last month!
As a major Green Day fan (kinda losing interest, and patience, in them these days, though), I always felt I should like "Misery", as it was the most left-field creative thing they'd ever done up to that point, but aside from appreciating the effort, I really can't stand it. Fortunately this baby is packed to the rafters with other goodies, best of all TILLY AND THE WALL and Pink Martini, who of all my band discoveries in 2007 are easily my favorite. Furthermore, "Living Room" is one of T&S's best, I like the way the Hold Steady, Modest Mouse, The Thermals, and Wolf Parade go together (maybe just because they seem like they have a certain commonality between them), and overall the whole thing looks really fun, barring a few personal enemies (like "Misery", "Level", and "Young Folks" just because it's so overplayed these days)
actually, i love regina! i think that when i made the mix though, i wasn't very into her. btw, this mix you have here is pretty much incredible. it looks like something i'd make. i especially love the fratelli's, and it makes me happy when people use them in mixes.
