Comment:

I've had some of Blondie's singles in my head recently and I decided to formally investigate their second through fifth albums for the first time (I've had their debut for quite awhile). This is the result of my pleasant surprise. It certainly isn't the single-artist mix that I'll play most often, but there are some really great songs--big hits *and* album tracks--here. Last tracks cut: "The Tide is High", "T-Birds", "Accidents Never Happen", "Will Anything Happen?", "I Know But I Don't Know", "Fade Away and Radiate", "Man Overboard", "Just Go Away", and "Denis."

Funny - I was just doing the same thing - got sidetracked by Attack of the Giant Ants though....

Don't see much Blondie on AOTM, nice job.

Excellent.Blondie were all about zestful intelligent pop and your mix captures that. The first two LP's are flawless, the third is patchy and once I heard The Tide Is High I knew their day was drawing to a close.Limp reggae covers, did that song possibly inspire UB40's later insipid career?

Funny, I just came across some reissues while shopping and was also thinking about them. But I've never listened to anything beyond the first album; maybe I should try.

Hmmmm, Blondie was a final cut on my last ladies night mix. Axed for the cranberries closer. Lots of great picks here however.

I recenty saw My Life Without Me which features Blondie. I'm not too familiar with her musical output which is probably a mistake on my part.

They did a lot of good stuff. Nice collection.

In case anyone does not recognize the title lyric from "Look Good in Blue," it is sung as "I could give you some head... and shoulders to lie on." Cute.

Love the first three, love the last three.. and everything in between. As soon as 85 minute discs are widely available, be sure to put on 'Fade Away & Radiate' though. Beautiful song..

I miss 'Denis' but not 'Tide is High'. Some truly great songs here.

Hmmmm....Debbie Harry. Didn't follow much after the first two but I did like Tide is High back in the day. Definitely worth a re-investigation.
