Comment:

The Beatles, like in the Spring of this year, were still a phenomena in the U.S. I chose to use 3 of their charted hits from this season. I used bigger hits by The 4 Seasons, but only 2 of their 4 hits from that season. I chose to cut a few songs from this mix because I discovered that I'd used them on previous mixes. However, that gave me the opportunity to make way for some lesser known songs. Some songs that didn't make the cut: Al Martino's Always Together, Dean Martin's Everybody Loves Somebody, Del Shannon's Handy Man, Jumpin' Gene Simmons' Haunted House, and the Supremes' Where Did Our Love Go (I'm not a huge Supremes fan). The mix clocks in at 78m55s in length and the average chart number for the entire mix is #20.1 (as usual you can access the mix by clicking the link on the first song title).

Great one Joe. Lots of great tunes but the 10-16 and 20-22 runs are special

I am a real sucker for all those Dionne Warwick/Burt Bacharach pairings (and not just because of Meaning of Life)

Always fascinating to see what was burning up the charts in other countries.Amazing to think that the Dave Clark 5 were so popular in the US.I think they had more no.1's there than in the UK. And I had no idea that I'll Cry Instead was released as a single in the US.Love tracks 6,8,12,14,15. Fine stuff.
