Comment:
For the hell of it. Thanks to Mohr for the Scott Walker track and to lo-fi for the Exuma track (and introducing me to that fine act). Title by Mark E Smith.Feedback:
Very nice. I especially like the closing four.
Great mix. You know I don't have time for superlatives, but I mean it in the grandest sense.
Thin Lizzy into Cornershop? Awesome. Many favorites here: #5,6,9,10,12-14,16 are just a start...
All kinds of favorites here, looks like a nice listen.
Loads I'm liking here.
I'm assuming tk12 is a cover. Gotta hear that. I anticipate your for the hell of its with baited breath. There's always a few corkers in there I'd yet to discover.. For now, love 4-11, 13, 17,18, 20-23...
this is absolutely wonderful, rob, winners found from top to bottom - my favorites include the 20-22 stretch, the 9-10 coupling, & the sly stone & sex pistols songs
Cool.
great stuff even if I haven't heard Exuma
I agree with P here, love the 10-11 and 16-22 stretches especially.
Good to see a Pistols LP track on a mix. Can't fault anything with Joy Division,The Fall and Big Black included.Well can I? No,I can't.
Diggin alot of this, 4,5,6,9,10,22 and 23 jump off the screen for starters.
As usual, a fine mix of some personal faves and a healthy dose of music slightly beyond my comfort zone but doubtlessly more enjoyable in this context. Always appreciate hearing "Omaha" and "Interzone," and the Breeders get way too little respect these days.
del, daniel, ian, other ian, warren, mark, it's all good. congrats on no more santorum.
I'm having trouble imagining that Minor Threat song following Moby Grape, but there is a ton of great music here. Nice,
This looks like it might become one of my favourites of yours (if sendspace cooperates, anyway), and that's obviously saying something.
Love the Deltron & Mike Nesmith oh and the Moby Grape and The Byrds. Well done.
I'm losin' the plot coulda sworn I commented on this before. I've plenty of time fer this!
a great listen, Rob. enjoyed the Daniel Johnston into Sex Pistols, the Tuss track, Sly and Cream... but my favorites are the Scott Walker and Exuma tunes. really incredible, and well-placed here. oh, and my colleague loved your opener.
several of my favorite underrated classics, from The Spider and the Fly to the one-two punch of Runnin' Away and We're Going Wrong. And then, of course, there's Phenomenal Cat.
Again a superlative selection by Mr C...i esp enjoyed the between Moby Grape and Sly hardcore interuption!
big fan of 2, 5, 12, 13, and 16 especially. nice work, rob.
