Comment:

East London, 2007: One third Legend of Bear sits in a pub with a gin and tonic, looking at sunlight hit the floorboards and listening to a late wasp hitting the windowpanes. He's got a text message from the other two. Suddenly a clack of heels and a swish of coat announces the presence of someone else: 'This isn't the Hs,' she says. LoB just smiles and heads to the bar, and the jukebox. 'Because sometimes we want to dance, and sometimes we need to cry,' the text reads...

I think this is what is known as eclectic. First 5 tracks on side one are the pick o' the mix fer me.

First two songs are timeless classics; have to admit a decreasing awareness of some of the remainder.

Pre-buff, pre-married Madonna is always nice to hear. I like Blur too and have heard a couple of the other bands, but the rest are a mystery...

YES! Well, the opener is my all time favourite Charlatans Track, Live To Tell my ATF Madonna track, by a mile.. Great tk from Parklife & I love Kiss Me..
Now if you were DJ Karen you'd include a You Tube link to Take That wearing leather & rolloing around in Jelly.. Good job you're not then.

Great opener followed by one of NZ's finest. Then a shoegazing classic courtesy of Slowdive. No Take That link but any Kristin Hersh one would be appreciated. Good stuff all round.
