Well, Summer's Gone. Actually, come to think of it Summer never arrived on thses shores. It's freezing cold outside but I'm happy 'cos I've finally finished this mix I started a few weeks ago, listened back and decided it's my favourite mix.. certainly since my last. Which of course was only last week. I've been meaning to slow down before everyone gets bored of me.. So make the most of this! Title comes from my little girl, who is 7 months old tomorrow. Everytime she smiles, her wide toothless grin makes her look like a cartoon character......

Why would you slow down when you're making great mixes?

looks like a lovely way to transition from summer to fall (my least favorite season to my favorite season) - that VU track is an all-time fav, & so is the NMH track, & the rest looks brilliant as usual

Lessee...hmmm, I know the VU, and Mama Cass, oh and Toots (oops, that was a girl I knew in high school...sorry), ah, I've heard of that Donovan fellow, Neutral Milk and the Everly's...and someone once sent me a Loveletter ('Toot's' again!) And, in time it took to spit that out, the download's complete! Now I'll know `em ALL.

(and those are some of the best smiles, Sam (early on and then again when their baby teeth begin coming out - with gaps all in-between).

This looks lovely. I've never heard (or even heard of, actually) Lollipop Train, but the song title here combines two of my favorite things in the whole world. Looking forward to listening!

Found Tracks 5, 9, 11-12 & 16-17 enjoyable (especially those last three)... Will look forward to your next mix, whenever that may be (may you enjoy the extra time till you get the itch to mix again).

Mind the gap. Okay, now that that clever remark is out of the way, let's get to the "new comment about your mix." Looks fabulous, old chum (no fishy pun intended). It could be a Moe mix, if Moe ever posted a mix. Lovin' the Loveletter (ain't that a Cowsills' cover?), the glorius taste of Jenny Artichoke, the best Donovan song ever, an excellent Eternity's Children cover, a super non-Peter Frampton cover, a song from the next Pet Soundalikes (spoiler alert!) and a Go! Team song that has yet to be introduced to my ears. And don't even get me started on the songs I haven't mentioned. BTW, I shipped off some mixes to you earlier this week. Be on the lookout! And we'll never get bored with ya Sammy! (unless you start posting ten mixes a day -- bet we'd still luv ya anyway)

gave this a listen this morning, Sam, and was thinking "wow, this is probably one of my favorite Sam mixes ever..." and I was planning to tell you so, but then you went and said that about my mix! now it just sounds like I'm paying you back. but it really is true; lots of real corkers on this one. loved the opening pair, 14 Bis, of course, the Steve Bent is great, then loved the Mama Cass/Richard de Bordeaux & Daniel Beretta set. "Mrs. Bluebird" next caught my ear, then that incredible Beverly Jones track. (is she singing about a British policeman?) Neutral Milk Hotel is probably my favorite group that I still don't own anything by for some reason... but my two favorites were yet to come: "Jenny Artichoke" and "Mandalay Cow." what a crazy pair! great, great mix Sam... and glad to hear you're gettin' lots of smiles around there.

Hey Sammy, thanks for the nice comment on my mix. I'd love to trade with you again. That mix you did of all the girl groups still brightens my day! How about my "Let Me Write You Home" mix in trade for this one?
