Comment:

Seems like a pretty obvious theme, but no less fun. Had to leave a lot of decent songs on the cutting room floor, either because their connection to booze was less tenuous then their titles might suggest (i.e. Neil Young's "Barstool Blues") or they were too dirgelike (i.e. Over the Rhine's "Drunkard's Prayer"). Oh, and apparently Mojo or Uncut just did one of these, but this has been in the works for a few weeks; haven't tracked the down, but I'm curious how the track list stacks up.

Are people obsessed with drink on AOTM? Another drink mix(er). That's no cool cat if he drinks Bud light. This mix is a fine vintage.

Both this and MOJO's mix are great. I especially salute your Fellows, Stones, Pogues, Squeeze and Kinks ("Alcohol") picks. I'm surprised that you chose E.C.'s version of "The Bottle Let Me Down" over Merle's, but hey, to each his own. ;-)

you've done found a way to take a tedious theme & make it super fun - that 1-5 run alone is STELLAR, & i love 9, 12, 15-19, 21, 24...

Surely the 1-5 run is Stella? I'm pretty much with Anthony on the whole. Just seeing Macca & Wings here along with the title of track 13, maybe your next themed mix could be 'Great Alberts in Rock'? Just a thought!

Intoxicating mix you've put together here. Many outstanding choices, but I gotta tip my hat to "Slightly Drunk."

Some really good selections here! By the way, in case you're interested, I've got another Lou Reed song on the subject, "The Last Shot" on Disc #51 of my Pazuzu Mixes series!

You gotta love a mix that would fail a breathalizer test. Great mix! I'm buying the next round. And you even got Mr. Pazuzu to comment! Props to you.
