Comment:

Mostly music about drinkin', tokin', snortin' and trippin', but especially tokin' (but drinkin comes in a close second). I don't advocate cocaine use, but Eric Clapton's song has got to be one of the best to promote a particular vice. I passed over some songs because they've been played so much that I find them irritating (such as Dylan's Rainy Day Women, Grateful Dead's Casey Jones, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, or Boston's Smokin'). Some I passed up because I'd used them on prior mixes, such as Steve Miller's Space Cowboy, Drinking Wine Spo-Dee O'Dee by Jerry Lee Lewis, One Toke Over the Line by Brewer & Shipley, and others. But some were too good not to use again, such as Fraternity of Man's Don't Bogart Me or Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit. Well, I happen to be posting this mix on a Saturday, so maybe it will act as a catalyst for some inspired activity tonight. Party on Dudes! It only took me 5 months but I finally got a chance to listen to this. Love that Weird Al track in particular. Premium Blend, Joe ... top job.
