Major events of October 1982:October 1 - Sony launches the first consumer compact disc player (model CDP-101).
October 13 - The Ford Sierra is launched in Europe. It replaces the Ford Cortina.
October 19 - John De Lorean is arrested for selling cocaine to undercover FBI agents (he is later found not guilty due to entrapment).
October 22 - A young man is born in New York City. Ultrasound suggested that he left a tiny pair of high-fidelity headphones and a copy of Nebraska behind.
October 27 - In Canada, Dominion Day is officially renamed to Canada Day.

October 28th: I was born! I like everything here. Fantastic mix.
ballroom pink: finding 25 songs that could fit on an 80 minute CD was a bigger factor, but I think most of these songs would've been on my top 5-10 list for each year.
