Comment:
The Regulator M100 is is a vintage scanner, and as it is a pre-SMD scanner, it's not a big deal to add a discriminator output. The discriminator IC is an unknown 18 pin DIL IC. It is stamped 'Regency 600-565'.
Using an oscilloscope, pin 10 of this IC appears to contain the unfiltered baseband signal. A solder point next to pin 10 appears to be connected directly to the IC. A 10k resistor is soldered to TP5. The resistor can be mounted vertically.
Because the discriminator output contains a slight IF component at 455 kHz, the other lead of the resistor is connected to a grounded 2.2 n capacitor. This creates a simple RC lowpass filter with a cutoff frequency of about 7 kHz. The IF signal is suppressed effectively. The ground lead of the capacitor can be connected to the shield of the IF coil nearby.

friggin awesome
hot damn. any experimental mix that opens with Barry White and ends with that Roberta Flack song... well, it goes straight to #1 on my charts.
Jesus. The sweltering steaminess of this mix is overwhelming... in a good way. Any chance of a link, good sir?
All kinds of treats here for the Halloween season. I second Rob's comments as well.
Digging the Barry White, Neville Bros, Lovin Spoonful, Mos Def, Can, Hollies and Roberta Flack and of course, all vintage scanners, although I am partial to the Uniden Bearcat Pro PC78LTW, myself.
This is pretty cool.
The opening track by Love Unlimited is a fave and I suppose giving producer Barry White credit is deserved -- love those ladies' voices!
Love that bugged out version of Mr. Joy... and Boney M's finest moment, at long last, though it ain't no saturday seven.
Pre-SMD is so cool.
