Comment:
My long-planned alt-DJ collaboration with the mighty sport! Lots of fun to compile, lots of fun to listen to [he even supplied the first (presumably) Frankie Valli-sung song that didn't make me feel like clawing out my eyes]. Since I think it's fairly obvious who's who, I'll just admit it: he's odds, I'm evens. Thanks to SwankQueen for hipping me to the Bunzu Sounds track. Title paraphrased from the Radiohead track.Feedback:
this looks REALLY freaking cool, totally all over the map but the tracks seem to complement each other really well
Lots of fun, thanks again!
very interesting indeed.
Losts of good stuff especially The Sons of Champlin track.
I can easily say, that this is best, best mix ever I have seen, in here AOTM. And thats mutch. I know every track, and I LOVE all of them. Your best mix so far. Thank You!
From Twin Peaks to Sir Doug, this is A+...love the Pogues/Four Seasons contrast...
I like this a lot...pleasantly eclectic!
So many great songs. I absolutely love "Heard it on the X"
Good work, agents.
Hmmm, I don't know if I prefer the odds or evens... so I'm going to sit on the fence and say fantastic all round guys!
Now, this is certified jonpoi listening.
Mighty tasty!
quite a few I'm not familiar with here, but it does look like an eclectic and wonderful group of songs.
Very cool collaberation. Digging that 8 to 17 stretch.
I was going for odds because I saw the Tages but then evens came in with the sizzling Get Up And Use Me....it's a draw.
Sorry, no wrong turns here. NONE!!!
A tasty treat as usual!
well loads t love here . . . . haven't heard that Gong pick in an age . . . . must remedy soon !
Like my pal Gobi, I arrived a little late to the party. Guess we spent too long doing bong hits in the parking lot. Super-duper collaboration guys -- it's what I'd expect from two of AOTM's most respected and high profile mixers. I recognize more of Sport's contributions (the kid funk of Eight Minutes, the adult funk of the Funky Fresh Four Seasons and Sweden's fabulous Tages), but on closer inspection , I think I'm familiar with a few of the evens (Canned Heat and ZZ Top). It takes two to make things go right.
A most underratedly sublime project which begs to be played on "repeat" all the day long. Love the intro, and highlights for me were tracks 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21... and, of course, "Zinabu" is in my "top 25 all-time faves"... some delectable classics I knew and some I hadn't heard but am now loving! Thanks for doing this, it's phenomenally great! 15 stars!!!
