Comment:

I've been working on this on and off for over a year, and i've finally found the songs i needed to make it 'complete.' The first track is a recording of a poem which i think perfectly captures the absurdity and the manic nature of the overall American psyche. The first half of the cd is kind of a chronological account of American Wars starting roughly with wwII and leading up to today (and onward to an imaginary nuclear war of utter dronemetal destruction). The second half is about our current situation: how we got here, why it's wrong, and how we can end all this madness.

Interpret it as you please. I'm sure this theme has been explored a million times, but let me know what you think.

I love the Ginsberg poem and there are some great songs. I understand your theme but remember war is a universal theme and to call out one nation is neglecting the inter-relationship of humanity. Regardless of nationally.

If i had knowledge of the history and music of other nations or access to their music i might consider making another, but since i don't i cannot. Regardless, i think contemporary musicians that call out the status quo should be recognized and popularized, which was a secondary aim for the second part of the cd.

I love that Ginsberg poem too. he has his hits and misses, but that's definitely a hit. And anything Dylan is good. Also enjoy Bright Eyes, Desaparecidos, Neil Young, and many others on this mix. Good job!

This is really good. I love that Ginsberg poem. And that Bright Eyes track is the only song I like by Bright Eyes.
