Comment:

Another carefully constructed random walk through what's new, what's lying around, and what I felt like hearing. A few guilty pleasures and a few ringers sprinkled lightly throughout. Shout-outs to Rob for the Buttholes and Dale for the Dwarfs...

Yes, only 7 volumes in several years... obviously not holding a candle to the prolific Pazuzu... maybe I'll stay up late and throw together a half dozen more tonight...

This looks great (and you're welcome). Incidentally, Marc, I'm sure the half-dozen you could throw together in under an hour would be 800 times better than Pazuzu's completely pathetic concoctions.

Great job here, between the tunes, title and cover. Too many faves to mention...

Great stuff. Probably my favourite Pretenders pick, plus the Fall and the Butthole Surfers !There's a dark moon rising with regards to the title though, methinks !

God I love that Buttholes song! Yay to you & to Rob.

I think to create proper Pazuzu-dom, you need to make some self-congratulatory comments about how awesome your choices are - or better yet, some pseudo-self-deprecatory things along the lines of "This isn't one of my best mixes, although the opening five and last three are, clearly, brilliant."

OTOH, given that you make mixes good enough for OTHER people to comment on, perhaps you don't need to do that.

Lots of good 'uns...Ride, Buttholes, Gram Parsons, NMH, etc. And that Superchunk song has been a long-time favorite of mine.

I must confess that there's a lot here that I haven't actually heard, but I am familiar with most of the artists that are featured here - at least by name! That's definitely an impressive roster...and I certainly can't argue with your choice of title, either! ;)

I used the New Pornographers on one of MY mixes, but not that particular track!! I don't think I've heard of the Moody Blues, but I have heard of Oasis! But I didn't use the track you used on one of my mixes! But I DID use the original track on my 4th mix! But it was by the Rolling Stones!!! I've not heard of Editors either. But I DID use a Kraftwerk song on TWO of my mixes. And they are from Munich. Or at least SOMEWHERE in Germany!!!!!!

I had to trawl through the Pazuzu files to completely get sammyg123's jokey comments. It was hard work but worthwhile, I even discovered I had commented on one of his mixes. Anyway this mix contains some gems particularly nos.2,5,20 and 21. I expect that Tall Dwarfs song is good too but I can't remember what it sounds like, will have to investigate it.

As I say with just about everyone of your mixes - I love just about song here. Is Tegan & Sara one of the guilty pleasures? I know I still haven't put them on a mix becasue it just "doesn't feel right", even though I like a few of their songs. And thanks for the shout-out. I disappear for what seems like half a year and the second mix I see on my return while checking out the "Find a Mix-Last 100 Mixes Posted" name checks me. I think I'm going to cry. Or is there another Tall Dwarfs fan named Dale out there. Either way, great stuff.

Quite the Lolla-pazuzu-a you've slapped together here. Liking the chunk, dwarfs and elo especially. And props for getting the man himself (as well as M.I.A. Dale) to comment. Loved Sammy's contribution too!
