June's first weekend also heralded the summer season to open. . . in Europe at least. Since I've been on a long tour for the past 2 months, it all flowed smoothly. . . I was already on pace for a marathon season, so why not go with the steady income?Played 2 gigs in Italy and one for the Space opening party in Ibiza.I'd spent 4 summers on the island, and it's become a second home to me. I always get to see friends there, much like a yearly reunion.Then I went to DisneyWorld with my girlfrind.Why Disney?I can't remember.Something to do with road tripping and amount of time.But it was great fun. Even had a drink for every country at Epcot. Expensively drunk.Snapshot a week later and I'm in Brazil (2nd trip this year.)The parties there were progressively worse. This was due to the promoters (Bacardi) being pains in the asses about lights and setup.Sur-real moment: Teaching a chorus of Brazilian women to sing backup on Sting's 'We'll Be Together Tonight.'From there to Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and the DR.Had some great food in Venezuela, and watched a promoter become a drunken nuisance in the D.R.Straight thru to the end of the month in Mexico and celebrating my birthday in LA at a festival with 20,000 people. . .And the summer had JUST begun.
