Comment:
OK, OK...I must admit that this one was sort of made up on the fly, kind of as I went along. It's also sort of one of my "mopping-up" exercises, where I gather together all the stray tracks I had on the back burner for previous mixes but hadn't yet found a home for, hoping that they'll all gel into a more or less cohesive mix! Overall, I don't think it's one of my best mixes, and I fully admit that Disc #2 could definitely have used a bit more ironing out in terms of the running order, but as I am so fond of saying, it is what it is! For some odd, peculiar reason, I thought that the closing pairing of Van Halen and Patti Smith would work like a ch-arm. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, I'll leave that call up to you...Feedback:
any mix with Johansen and Ronson is alright with me, almost makes up for the Whitesnake and Axl Rose...
Novelty, a forgotten JD gem which I have to salute you for including. Meanwhile November Rain has one of the most ridiculous videos ever.
I'd been wanting to use that Hanoi Rocks track in a mix for a while, but I haven't found a home for it yet either!
