Comment:
Well, here I come again with a brand-spanking new mix! Last time around I was kind of making it up on the spot, and although I think it's okay, it didn't really represent my best effort. So I gave myself a little more time to think about the next one, and in the meantime I "re-converted" a few of my older CD mixes into the cassette format - the better to show both halves of the set side by side. Anyway, I would just like to dedicate Track #4 on Disc #1 and Track #7 on Disc #2 to KathrynandRupert - and I'm throwing in Track #8 on Disc #2 for good measure! (And if you're a fan, you'll understand the connection.) Just a few more things: I was on the fence for a while with regard to which Joy Division song I was going to use, "Interzone" or "Isolation." I ultimately went with the latter (although I think perhaps the former may have worked). And until the last minute, I was going to put the Preten-ders' "Talk Of The Town" on until it occurred to me that it would be more logical to put "Message Of Love" after Slade's "Coz I Luv You" - because rhythmically I think they go rather naturally together! Well, until next time...Feedback:
always nice to see some mott the hoople on a mix.
The Jam covered So Sad About Us. In fact I heard their version first. Great Joy Division track and like that triple run Slade through to the Beatles. Thanks for the dedication. Keep on mixing.
